Blog Update and News for 2019!

Hello Everyone!

I’m excited (and nervous) to share some big news with you for 2019!

After a lot of thinking and researching, I’ve decided to narrow the focus of craftyveganmommy to mainly vegan food and specifically, DIY tips and meal planning for vegan families. I’m talking about tips to save you money and time AND eat a healthy plant-based diet.

As much as a love crochet and crafting, the reality is that it’s not as much of a priority for me with a baby-turned-toddler who is into everything. I would still like to share crochet projects and patterns down the line once the kids are older. BUT a vegan cooking blog is much more in line with where I am in my life right now as a new mother and sole food planner for a family of three, soon to be four!

Yes, that’s my other big news – we found out we are expecting another little vegan baby in summer 2019. This has just reconfirmed my commitment to helping other moms and families with some of the common dilemmas we face when raising our kids plant-based or vegan (or just eating more healthy food) in a non-vegan world. Veganism and healthy eating are one the rise, and I hope I can help you to transition or expand your cooking skills with tips, recipes, shopping ideas and meal plans.

I’ve also honed my meal planning and prepping skills over that past several months, as difficult as it has been with morning sickness, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with you all. It’s amazing to me that even after almost twelve years without animal products, I am still discovering new things, learning from other great teachers, and also still use some tried and true simple recipes to feed myself and my family.

I pretty much eat and sleep vegan food and read and research and test things out a lot, so you don’t have to. It’s something I just LOVE. I feel I have A LOT to offer you on this topic and I would be honored if you would keep reading my blog and stay on this vegan journey with me!

Peace & love,

Aletha
